Description:
Serial #245257, 7.62 x 54R, 27” barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a very small amount of freckling within the grooves. This is a 1944 dated, “SA” marked rifle that has matching numbers on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. The metal retains 90% plus of an arsenal re-applied blue finish that has silvered at the muzzle, as well as faded to a pale gray in spots along the high edges and projections. A small import mark is present on the right side of the barrel just ahead of the nosecap as well. The bolt has an overall gray patina with some minor freckling on the handle and a few spots along the body. The typical two-piece birch stock is in fine shape with only minor handling marks in the excellent military oil finish. The handguard has more handling marks and small blemishes, as well as a slightly glossier oil finish, and a lightly worn, but still serviceable, period leather sling is installed. This is a fine, World War II dated Finnish Nagant overall. FFL or C&R
