This is an attractively proportioned pistol that has an unadorned lock with gracefully contoured nipple bolster added in place of the pan. The metal has an overall dark plum-brown patina with gray fading along the barrel, which has an octagonal breech, wedding band transition to round, and a slightly flared muzzle. The pistol has a pin-fastened walnut stock with nicely decorated brass furniture and a lightly chipped and cracked forend tip. The brass has an overall dark ochre patina with brighter yellow along the raised edges. Additionally, there is a with-the-grain crack at the tip of the forend on the left side, as well as a repaired chip at the butt on the right. The mechanism is tight and functions flawlessly, and a period replacement ramrod is included. This is an attractive and well made pistol that rates very good overall.
