This fine little rifle is a custom rendition of the model 1885 Winchester with an original Winchester action ; the rifle is a sparkling little beauty! The stocks are high grade English walnut with no holes or cracks and the metal is pristine with no marring. The Lyman A5 scope is a collector's dream in itself, clear optics and with a post reticle; the scope is mounted on a dovetail arrangement that is screwed to the barrel. The butt plate, with trap door,is a work of art in itself, engraved and inlet into the stock as well as any I have seen. The grip cap is a model of fine work (see photo) I have fired this rifle and it is accurate and works precisely as it should.
I have lowered the price by $850.00 due to the discovery of evidence of previous mounting of a receiver sight.
There is a new, unused set of Redding dies and 60 new Jamison brass cases available at no additional cost.
