Description:
This is an outstanding example of a Smith & Wesson .32 DA. with the original box. Serial # 260841 3-1/2" barrel in .32 Smith & Wesson caliber. This double action revolver is a Fourth Model manufactured 1883 to 1909. Features factory nickel finish with blued trigger guard and barrel release, and case colored hammer and trigger. Factory pearl grips with gold medallions. The barrel and frame retain approximately 98% original factory nickel finish with a couple areas of light bubbling. Cylinder retains approximately 70% original nickel with some bubbling and age spotting in flutes. 85% original blue on trigger guard. Strong colors on hammer and trigger. Factory pearl grips are near mint. Action is perfect. Strong rifled bore with some minor abrasion. Comes in its original box numbered to gun with proper very good nickel end label. This is a mighty fine little S&W with original box all the way around and at a reasonable price. ALL the screws and takedown pins look un-touched. This gun has seen VERY little use over all these years and would be pretty hard to improve on*. The box is in very nice condition with a solid hinge that has no rips or tears. Shows some very minor corner wear as you would expect but has no tears and near perfect uniform color. (*The only way I can see to improve on it is to have the cylinder selectively re-nickeled. If no one buys this I'm going to have my friends at apwcogan in Alabama do just that). See pics and enjoy. Capt. John. This gun is a C&R being made just after 1900 and came to me as such. It's in my books. I can send to either another C&R (ffl 03) or ffl 01. Ship/ins will be $40 'cause I plan on insuring it well. Thanx
