A huge 6 shot .577 caliber double action revolver . This revolver has a cross pendant on the left upper frame with a B indicating made by Braendlin. On the back of the cylinder plate is marked Braendlins improvement and Tranters patent markings. Tipping & Lawdin along with Webley were licensed by Tranter to produce .577'sof thier own patterns. This gun is of the Tranter looking revolvers with the engraving in the usual areas Tranter does on it revolvers.A handsome gun built very strong and in perfect mechanical condition. Great bore and cylinder ,nice one piece grip, a lot of original finish.A small bead front sight and a notch rear. Solid lockup in great working order., 4 inch barrel landyard loop on the butt. A very nice Retailer marking on the top strap, Adams and Co.Finsbury Place London. Britisg proofed on the barrel and on each cylinder. Possibly ser# 2 ,there is a marking 1773 also near the 2?? Come with a contemporary mahogany case with tools ,vintage oiler, some very rare original ammo. key, and label on the inside of the lid. , The Retailer Adams, places it aprox mfg late 1870's to 1880.
