Very good bore and action and the bore looks like at least a “7” that should clean even better with a light cleaning. Overall smooth even thin grey-brown exterior with virtually no pitting at all and some faint traces of blue at the top of the back-strap. Fine scene which is about 90-95% intact and having the “Engaged….” line being mostly visible (see photos) …and it still has most of the cylinder safety pins on the rear of the cylinder. Fine original wood grips with clearly visible cartouches on both sides and showing only minimal wear. Overall, this is a very, VERY decent and well above average standard issue military Army that obviously has had very good care all its long life and most likely was an officers sidearm and being relatively early manufacture, it probably saw action in the Civil War. Well above average, at least VG++ as described. $2695 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Antique: Yes |
