Description:
A fine, rare and large antique folding knife by George Wostenholm of Sheffield. This is a marked IXL blade knife with Wostenholm's address of the 1860-1870's period. The clip point blade measures 6 inches and the knife overall is 13 1/8 inches. The scales are of beautiful rosewood and there is an iron wire bale. The mainspring is strong with no issues. The blade is well used with no chips or fractures...its original point and remains razor sharp. A nice bar style shield of german silver or pewter remains tightly affixed to the rosewood scale. A fine and rare antique Sheffield folder by one of the best English Cutler's. USPS priority mail is 10.00
