Description:
  • George Woodhead Spearpoint Belt Knife
  • This is a well preserved, Civil War period, gentleman's sash knife manufactured by George Woodhead from his Howard Street address in Sheffield, England.  The buffalo horn slabs are completely intact, save a very small chip next in the left panel next to the guard.  The knife is capped off with two mother of pearl slabs which are also completely intact.  The original leather sheath still remains with the knife and its original German silver throat and tip. The guard, likewise, is German silver.  The spearpoint blade is stained from its years of carry and use, but has lost no detail in the grind.  A lovely, full tang, Civil War, gentleman's knife.
