Description:
Savage Model 1899 in 250-3000 Deluxe, developed to introduce the 250-3000, in 1914. It was discontinued in 1921. This gun was made in 1917, serial #191xxx. A takedown with 22" round tapered barrel, very light weight. Ceckered Savage extra full (wide) pistol grip stock with curved Perch-Belly lower line. High quality varnish finish with overall LOP demension of only 13 1/4". Has the cross checkered trigger, not found on any other 1899 or 99. Savage logo on the butt plate & serial is under the plate, in the wood. Condition is fine, with some use marks on the reciever. Probably from a hunter's wet or bloody hand. Bore is excellent, a very fine 1899. 40.00 to ship.
