SOLD /// U.S. Model 1903 Rifle by Springfield Armory, serial # 424732, cal. 30-06, has a 24" barrel with a very good bore that has light freckling within the grooves, rifle has a 5-10 dated Springfield Armory barrel with the metal retaining 95% of an armory re-applied parkerized finish with minor specks of mild brown freckling scattered about the visible portion of the barrel and on the receiver, there is some minor silvering present on some of the exposed edges and areas of very faint minor pinprick pitting on the end of the cocking-piece and on the buttplate, the walnut stock with an excellent original oil finish dates from around 1920 and has a crisp "W.J.S." cartouche and "P (in circle)" proof with a few very minor scattered handling marks, the handguard has a closely matching oil finish, rifle comes with an original sheet metal front sight cover and there is an original metal oiler present in the stock compartment, NOTE: This is a low numbered Model 1903 rifle and is offered for collector purposes only. It should not be considered safe to fire, overall an excellent refurbished Collectors '03 with lots of condition. Inv.: # 2-1676
