Japanese Arisaka Type 99 Rifle. series 8, manufactured at Nagoya Arsenal, serial # 82575 matching, cal. 7.7mm, with a 26” barrel and a very good bright bore, rifle has a ground Mum, retains 95% blue finish turning brown. This is a series 8 Last Ditch rifle made with no provisions for the cleaning rod, has a two piece stock, wood buttplate along with solid wood showing light use. The bolt is matched with following numbers bolt 575, extractor not marked, firing pin 575 and safety 575. The overall condition as described and photographed is good plus - very good plus.
