Description:
Go anywhere, hunt anything with this lovely 12/12/9.3x74R Sauer and Sohn side lock drilling with a side rifle cocking lever and a tang safety. With twenty-six and one half inch Krupp Essen barrels and weighing only seven and a half pounds without the scope make this a quick pointing field gun.  Pre WWII craftsmanship, a steel trigger guard, a round knob grip, and a horn butt plate all add to this gun.  The stock finish and bluing show little wear.  The case colors are vivid. Scroll engraving and borders adorn the sideplates, reciever and trigger guard.  The bores are shiny with prominent rifling for the rifle barrel.  A folding leaf rear sight and a blade with a bead front sight are available when the scope is not in use.
The rear trigger fires the rifle barrel and has a relatively light pull.  The rifle is cocked by a side cocking lever and there is a cocking indicator for the rifle barrel.
Length of pull to the rear trigger is approximately 12 3/4 inches and approximately an inch further to the front trigger. This gun is equipped with extractors.
The scope is a Carl Zeiss  Jenna  4X, that is clear and sharp . It has the three thick posts  with the verticle posted pointed at the top.   It attaches with a set of QD rings that go on and off smoothly and lock up tight.  The cross bars of the rings are half round and when you turn the lever to lock it in place, the round side goes into a groove providing a secure grip.
There are wear marks where the feet on the inside edges of the scope ring feet have rubbed going on and off the bases.   There is a little screw that is buggered on the front of the rear scope base.  I can't figure out what it does or why it's there, but it isbuggered.  There are two spots of brown paint on the fore end.  These things should be visible in the photographs.
This is a lovely gun that should you should be able to hunt the world with.
