L.C. SMITH HUNTER ARMS CO. SPECIALTY GRADE TRAP 30" 12GA. SHOTGUN. Serial "1494XX", crica 1940. "Hunter One" selectable trigger. Original beavertail forend with checkering. Original buttstock with factory checkering. 30" vent rib barrels choked full and full with 95% original blue remaining. Old wrist repair at right side extending from sideplate about one inch should be done again. I've shot it quite a bit in various long bird side events as well as Parker vs. L.C.Smith events and has not let me down(came out on top in some so I know the gun shoots as it should and will reach out as far as you need it). 14 1/2" LOP over new 1/4" Decelerator pad. Receiver with 25% of original case colors. Triggerguard with almost all it's original blue. VERY tight lockup with lever right of center and no extra play(tight as a drum). All screws unturned and all engraving crisp. Floral sprays with quail on left sideplate and duck on right sideplate. Beautiful superior specialty grain wood is original. With factory letter from Cody Records(holder of current L.C. Smith records) stating it was shipped to Hoffman Sporting Goods in current configuration.
