Description:
This is a Vintage, Von Lengerke & Antoine (AKA)VL&A of Chicago, branded Colt SAA holster. Perfect fit for a 4 3/4 barreled Colt SAA. (My Colt is not included) This was the famous catalog store of the 1890s through the late 1930s. VL&A hired the top makers of the day to do products for them and they put their name on them. HH HEISER made quite a few holsters for the VL& A label. This is a top of the line HOLSTER in BROWN leather. It bears the VL&A CHICAGO logo. Waxed thread is used and all the edges are rounded and smoothed and coated for a professional look. The holster is marked on the front with VL&A CHICAGO logo. CONDITION is VERY GOOD and would give a century more of service.
The finish has very little wear. Color is original with the original luster. There are no significant marks or scratches. The leather is holding its shape and is alive. The stitching is tight. The logo is an EXCELLENT stamping, deep, clear. An excellent collectible and display piece and for your vintage gun or it is ready for you to use.
The BELT is an excellent match for color and vintage. The loops will except .38-40 or .44-40 Colt cartridges. The belt has no marks of any kind and has no repairs or loose stitching. Overall length is 44 inches and 38 inches to the center hole. You can purchase with or with out the belt. Add the belt to your purchase for $75.00
