Description:
Here is a hand colored print by well known English Artist Henry Alkin. Henry Thomas Alken (12 October 1785 – 7 April 1851) was an English painter and engraver chiefly known as a caricaturist and illustrator of sporting subjects and coaching scenes. His most prolific period of painting and drawing occurred between 1816 and 1831. This print features a scene of a pigeon shooting match. The "Pigeon Match Print" is quite rare as most Alkin prints focus on Fox Hunting on horseback and equestrian events. The print is in excellent condition with crisp colors and no staining or spotting. The print itselt is approximately 10" x 14" while the size framed and matted is 20 1 /2" x 17 1/2". Shiping is $25.
