SPENCER REPEATING CARBINE MFR BY BURNSIDE WITH SPRINGFIELD ALTERATION TO INFANTRY RIFLE. This is an unusual piece in fully functioning condition. In 1871, 1108 of these carbines were converted to infantry rifles by adding a 32 1/2", 50 caliber barrel with 3 grove rifling. The barrels were numbered to match the receiver. Weight of the gun is 9 LBS 12 3/4 OZ. Shipping is $50. Antique can be shipped directly if your local law allows.
