Many of these conversions survive today.One of the interesting quirks is that the center fire cartridge conversions shot high because the sights were not regulatedfor the .50-70. Thus, a lot of shooters modified the front blade to bring the point of impact closer to the aiming point.This specimen shows that front sight modification.
