Description:
Early Marlin Model 36 (Tang Marked 1936 with no prefix on the serial # 4542 ) 1st Variation in 30/30 Caliber. Barrel blue retains all of 95-97% Original Finish with a faded spot on the right side of the barrel ( See Photos) and a couple of little marks on the magazine tube. Shows minor muzzle wear and the barrel band has very minor wear. Receiver is case colored and retains an honest 75-80% Original Color with one worn spot on the top of receiver (pictured). Wood retains conservatively 95+% Original Finish with a few handling marks from being hunted. Small blemish on the lft side of buttstock which appears to be a chip next to the buttplate. Pretty honest gun showing minimal wear for a gun that was hunted. Most of these look pretty used up. Bore is shiney with good lands and grooves. Best one on the site for the money.
