Description:
Excellent Russian Military Makarov, arsenal reworked, dated with “P” code reflecting manufacturer in early 1960s. SN: EM4108. Cal. 9mm Mak. Standard configuration Makarov with fixed front and drift adjustable rear sight. Full serial number on left side of slide that is repeated on the safety and left frame adjacent to the year code “P” and Tula Arsenal symbol. The “P” year code has variously cited to reflect in 1961 or 1964. Regardless, it is a rarely encountered code in the United States. Import marking on right frame. Usual reddish brown phenolic grips impressed with encircled 5 pointed star on each side. Lanyard ring. Correct but mismatched magazine with electropenciled “2144-2”. Condition: Approximately 98-99% salt blue. Comparable condition grips. Bright bore with strong rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A very early Makarov, with desirable “P” year code, that is C&R eligible. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
