Payment Types Accepted: United States Postal Money Order (USPSMO) Description: I have searched the internet for days trying to find a rifle like this and have came close but not one exactly like it. The nearest I came was a delux target model made a year earlier and the only difference was checkering on the stocks. Factory Lyman peep site, with 5 round mag tube. Serial # begins with "H". This rifle was shot a bit judging by the bluing wear at the crown. I would say more in competing than hunting. There are a few dings in the wood but is in very good condition considering it's 55 years old. It would make a excellent silhouette rifle. There are 2 scratches on the left side but minor (looks like a screw driver slipped) and some bluing wear where expected but no rust or pitting. It's JM stamped and has ballard rifling that shines like new. While cleaning I found where it has 2 position slot for the hammer spring retainer that could have only been done at the factory by the quality of the work. This makes the trigger break like a fine bolt gun, if spring retainer is put in forward the trigger breaks like a regular Marlin of it's day. I'd like to handle a Marlin with a smoother action If you know Marlins you know this is a very unique rifle, I ran 12 rounds of Corelocks through it today and it functioned flawlessly,. Accuracy was excellent for a few quick off hand few shots, my 50 yards shot proved to me the rifle sights are set for 200 yards. With POA at about a foot low walked a can like a unruly puppy. With the right load I will wager this is a MOA rifle or better. Could be MAO at 200. If you are interested in one the most accurate lever guns Marlin ever made or are a collector and want something very few people have you will understand the asking price is fair. If you are interested contact me and I will send detailed pictures of any part you ask for on this unique Marlin. I know 900 seems high but the delux version just like it I found sold for 1650. If full price paid I will include shipping to lower 48 states.
