Uncleaned cool gun from an estate in Montana ......dirt and grime and real use...!
Super nice 44-40 center fire 3rd model rifle with cool features made 1877 ..Nice plum brass on receiver, decent wood, rear stock may be a period replacement, front has definate wear also, Barrel is patina, with very faint markings left...like most of the 66's is is hard to read but suprisingly the bore is very good...normal wear and tear across wholegun and retractor spring on the bolt is missing easy repalcement ...Overall a very nice rare rifle to add to a collector. Rear sight is a really cool period brass replacement ...looks like it has been there a long time!
You wont find a cooler gun to pull out and shoot wth your buddies.
