- Note: This is a Waffenampt 98 Mauser that has been modified for sporting purposes. Bore is bright with strong lands and grooves. The walnut sporting stock with cheeck piece has been fitted to the gun. The receiver has been drilled and tapped and is mounted with a Weaver 1.5-4.5x one inch scope. The bolt has been bent and low swing safety installed to accomodate scope mounting. Military trigger has been reworked for crisp sporting use. The LOP is 13 3/4" over a Pachmayr brown decelerator pad. Barrel has been shortened and re-crowned to 19.5".
