VERY RARE FRENCH 'REVOLVER - SYSTEM' DEMONTHIER IN 9MM LEFAUCHAUX - with 11cm, 9mm Caliber round barrel marked at the breach with the serial number, 3269, well engraved frame, 6 shot cylinder enraged en-suite, unusual swing back loading gate, engraved hammer, folding trigger and one piece horn grip with lanyard ring. Barrel marked at the breach DUMONTHIER B.S.C.D.C. Complete with the original extractor. In superb condition with a few light patches or corrosion but all engraving clear and crisp and action works perfectly, as new, in double and single action. A solid and well made revolver of quality and a very rare find in this state of preservation. Frequently found with the 'bowie barrel adaptation' and in that configuration in average condition achieves in excess of $ 10,000 at . A large revolver at 22cm overall. For the serious collector.
