Description:
Step back in time with this high condition 1925 Parker Brothers 16 gauge VH.  As shown in the pictures, this gun retains substantial original case color, much of it vivid.  The 28” Vulcan Steel barrels are choked Improved Modified (.020) and Full (.025).  The gun, which is on a number 1 frame, weighs 6 lb 7 oz.  The wall thickness (top/side/bottom) for the right barrel at 9” from muzzle is 026/.025/.023 and at the middle of the barrel is .028/.028/.026; the left barrel is .029/.028/.025 and .032/.032/.029, respectively.  Bores 9” from the breech are both .665 inches. Chambers are 2-1/2 inch.  Length of pull is 14-1/4 inches.  The drop at the comb is 1-1/2 inches and at the heel 2-1/2 inches.  The gun locks up tight and on face.  All serial numbers, 207355, match.  To better preserve this vintage gun for another century of use, the hand-rubbed oil finish on the stock and slow rust bluing on the barrels are lightly refreshed.  The Parker butt plate is a modern replacement.

The inspection period is 7 days from receipt by buyer.  This shotgun has been fired using 2-1/2” target loads.  However, as for any vintage shotgun, it is recommended that the new owner have it inspected by a professional gunsmith before firing.  The gun carries a 30-day warrantee, during which Back in Time will have any mechanical problems documented by a professional gunsmith repaired or accept the return of the gun and refund the price of the gun and return shipping cost.  The original price of the gun does not include shipping, which is paid by the buyer.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call Stephen Wesbrook at 703-625-4830:  Back in Time – preserving late 19th and early 20th century double shotguns.
