The steel part octogon part round 8 & 1/2" barrel appears to have been blued as was the lock with traces remaining.. The rest of the metal is brass including the trigger guard, butt cap, side plate and ramrod ferrels.. The action is strong with the hammer holding on full and half cock. The wood is ebony at the barrel tip with the full stock being walnut. There is light carving along the ramrod, in front of the trigger guard and at the lock end of the barrel.. The trigger guard, side plate and barrel ferrels are engraved.. The stock has very few marks or defects.. The caliber is .60. The overall length is 14". There is a "1" or "L" on the lock under the frizzen. No other names or marks are visible. I have not inspected under the barrel. This is believed to have been made circa 1750. This is an antique so no FFL is required. It may be sent diredtly to a new owner. SOLD Antique: Yes Manufacturer: unknown (English ?)
