Lock marked 1860. Metal is a mostly smooth patina. Has some scattered pitting, mostly at the muzzle. Retains the original ramrod and bayonette lug. Original wood is good, showing a repair at the wrist. Brass trigger guard and butt plate. Action is crisp. Bore is dark but shows rifleing. Nipple is sound. Type imported by the Confederacy.
