Savage's 1899's were designated "A" Round Barrel, "B" Octagonal Barrel & "C" Half Round, Half Octagonal.The Savage 1899C is rather scarce and desireable, as they were discontinued in 1915, where the 1899A went on until the 1922.This rifle was fully restored by a professional gun smith out of Moab Utah.
