Payment Types Accepted: Personal check, cashiers check Description: Extra nice Colt Pocket model 1903, 32 cal. in 100% bright nickel finish. Serial #449055, Mfg. in 1923. Matching numbers on slide and frame. Mechanically fine, bore shiny w/ strong rifling. Original Colt hard rubber grips, of the period, in fine condition. Edges and markings are nice and sharp, which indicates that the gun was not buffed. Rounded edges and soft markings are sure signs of re-nickeled or re-finished buffed guns. This gun does have light handling marks and surface scratches. NOTE, on the right side of the slide (see photo) the "O" in automatic is weak. Inspecting that area of the slide one can feel an ever so slight depression in the metal; Colt factory error(?). What ever, when they rolled the die over that area caused the weak "O". This is my opinion. Others may interpret the weak "O" strike as pre re-nickeling buffing. Because the rest of the gun has sharp edges, no dishing, and sharp markings I believe that the nickel is original. However, I'm listing this gun at a price that would be on a re-nickeled gun. 3 day non-firing inspection. Buyer pays all shipping. Please ask questions. FFL/C&R. Prices are escalating on these 1903's; they make a good investment. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
