Description:
This rifle has a heavy octagon barrel fitted with a German silver blade front sight with both rear sights missing. All furniture is highly engraved. The lock plate is marked "A.T. RUSSEL". The barrel is marked "T.H.ROBINSON" There is some evidence of some vintage stock repair. The double set triggers function as they should. The barrel is mounted with a hook breech. The tang is fully engrave with a threaded tap awaiting a peep sight. There seems to be a load down that has been there many years. The straight wrist walnut half has a Hawken-esque style trigger guard.
This maybe a candidate for a restoration in any case the furniture is worth the price.
