Description:
12 gauge, 3″ (set “1″) and 2-3/4″ (set “2″) chambers. Set “1” is 30” and set “2” is 28”. Both sets are fitted with raised, matted, ventilated ribs. There are 2 1/2″ triangles of varying sized scroll at breech ends. Engine turned barrel flats are stamped with matching serial numbers. Both sets share a single forend. Barrel set “1″ is marked full and full, and “2″ is marked mod and full. Blued flat side action features automatic safety and gold-plated single selective trigger. Action is engraved in typical “21-6″ style with gold inlays, typical of “Grand American” Model 21′s. Fences are engraved with oak leaves. Remainder of action is near fully engraved with scroll surrounding vignettes of gold inlaid dogs and birds; a pointing setter on left side, and a pointing pointer on right. Bottom of action depicts a pair of gold inlaid pheasants. Trigger guard bow has a gold portrait of a dog. Fine, feather crotch figured American walnut steel capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 1/8″ length of pull over checkered wood butt. Stock and beavertail forend is carved in “21-B” style. Barrel set “1″: Bore diameter: left -.727, right -.728. Bore restrictions: left -.037, right -.037. Barrel set “2″: Bore diameter: left -.738, right -.738. Bore restrictions: left -.036, right -.019. Drop at heel: 1-1/2″, drop at comb: 2-1/2″. Weight: 8lbs with 30” barrels. Brown leather H&M case with chrome metal corners. Interior is lined in burgundy cloth, with Winchester gold embossed label in lid, and has space for gun and both sets of barrels. Case contains a pair of snap caps and two keys. Condition: Excellent, near new, as completely refurbished. Bores are excellent. Mechanically crisp. The bluing on barrel set “2” is lightly thinning at the muzzle end of the right barrel. Case leather is excellent with a few light handling marks. Interior cloth is very fine with some compressions and light soiling.
