Description:
JHV 98/40 8mm 24”barrel- This is a JHV coded 98/40 made in 1941. The JHV code stands for Femaru Fegyver es Gepgyar, Budapest. This German contract rifle differs from the standard 98 by having a two piece bolt that cocked on close instead of open and a split bridge receiver. This rifle has all matching parts including stock, bands, and butt plate. Rifle has a bright bore and strong rifling. Stock has some dents and scratches from normal use and the exterior metal has some minor pitting.
