Description:
This is a Marlin 39 (not 39A) lever .22 rimfire rifle with take-down octagonal barrel, featuring the "S-shape pistol grip". The "Star Stamp" on the tang is a "highest quality" Marlin inspector's mark. The button latch for the magazine tube is correct.The 'S' prefix in the serial Number indicates this Model 39 "should NOT be used with High Speed or High Velocity ammunition".
