A great shotgun from long ago this 16ga. looks like Iver Johnson CHAMPION single shot has a 30" barrel with a CYL. choke,, and a very good, clean, shiny bore.This is the rare ring barrel release, in front of the trigger. The marking on the receiver is: IVER JOHNSON ARMS & CYCLE WORKS , FITCHBURG, MASS U.S.A. with vivid colt case hardening on the frame . The barrel has about 80+% blue with a front high bead sight.Top of barrel is stamped: IVER JOHNSON PAT. APPLD FOR!.This ,must bean early gun, and very clean for the age!. Chambered for the 2 9/16" shell, comes with a bead front sight.Action locks up good . Walnut Hardwood walnut stocks are good, with a few shallow field dings, and has the IVER JOHNSON SCRIPT black hard rubber butt-plate .LOP is 15 1/4". Ring in front pf the trigger pulls back and the barrel opens, when barrel is closed the ring pushes forward to lock. I think that it's the only ring release shotgun made .We don’t have asite .
