CASED A. FORGERON, LIEGE SIDE PLATE BOXLOCK EJECTOR 16 GAUGE DOUBLE SHOTGUN CIRCA 1920’S. 28 ½” barrels with 2 ½” chambers and choked Full & Modified. Side clips, automatic ejectors, double triggers and automatic safety, and sling swivels. Excellent quality English Rose and Scroll engraving with relief carved “Laurel Leaf” fences. Blued side plates and casehardened frame. Engraved steel blued mounts. Finely checkered walnut English straight grip stock and forend. Nice long 14 5/8th” full to checkered butt and 1 ½”, 2 ½” drop with normal right hand ½”cast at heel. Untouched and very near mint with 99% bright original blue and case colors. Stock and forend with the original finish in near new condition. Looks unfired with mint bores and is in perfect working order. Original French Dealer leather luggage leg of mutton case with “A. M. MAINWARING/PARIS” label. Fine quality by one of best Liege maker of sporting guns and in top condition. Descended in family of an Austro-Hungarian Count.
