Description:
This Smith & Wesson is a early 1950's era pistol. The serial number is K 180609. It has the five screw frame, gold box, diamond center grips, pinned barrel and front sight to name a few early features. This pistol was fitted with a 4 inch barrel. Also as a special order it was fitted with a target hammer as noted on the box label. The diamond center grips are serial numbered to this pistol. The grips are in very fine condition with sharp clean checkering. The color cased finish on the hammer and trigger is strong and colorful. The front sight is double pinned to the barrel. The action is very smooth and crisp. This pistol shows very little use or shooting. There is some slight wear on the trigger and hammer. As noted this pistol has a target hammer installed as original from the factory. The drag line between the cyliner stops is very faint. The blue finish would rate a 99% condition. This revolver would rate as almost new in the box. The box contains the cleaning rod and brushes. The original wrapping paper is also there. I also have the helpful hints pamplet in the box. The box itself is in fine condition and intact. The label is clear and undamaged. This is a great condition early K 38 Combat Masterpiece that has everything going for it!
