Quality Consignments Wanted! This pistol was produced in 1957. It is a four screw frame with pinned barrel. The serial number is S 179821. This pistol was close to one of the last ones made in 1957. It has the original black box with the Smith & Wesson logo on the top lid. The inside has the screw driver, cleaning rod, bore mop and wire brush. There is also the warranty card enclosed. The box itself is in good condition. The inside liner has some loss by the pistol's rear sight. Other than that the liner is intact. The pistol shows some holster wear and being shot. The pistol would rate a 94% condition. The original diamond center grips would rate a 97% condition.The bore and chambers are bright and clean with no issues. The action is smooth with a nice trigger release. This Smith & Wesson is fitted with the target hammer and trigger. It also has the target front and rear sight. This Smith & Wesson is in the very desirable early four screw frame. They did not call the 44 Magnum the model"29" until 1958. So this pistol predates the model 29 designation. These early pistols are very difficult to find with the original box and accessories. Search for hlvfineguns on google.
