This Colt was produced in 1954. Serial number is 114801. I have a factory letter that states that this colt was shipped to Texas. The person also requesting this letter was also from Texas. The box has the original instruction sheet and wrapping paper. The box is in good condition. The top of the box shows some wear. The label is intact with the correct add on nickel label. The pistol appears to be in unfired condition. If it has been fired it would have been test fired. The nickel finish has a few speckles on the right side below the serial number and beside the grip panel. Otherwise the finish is intact. This pistol would rate a overall 98% condition. This Colt has the rare Coltwood grips sometimes called the pony grips. The style of finish is called the bowling ball finish. It is a bright colorful stunning looking reddish finish. This style of grips are quite rare! These grips are in great condition. This pistol also has the original plated magazine. Factory original nickel finish 38 Supers are very rare. To have one in the box with the original papers and factory letter is a real find! Search for Harry Viezens on google.
