Description:
Here's a very nice Remington 1903 (Modified). This is a rifle very similar to the good old Springfield 1903 with just a few minor changes to help speed production, hence the "Modified" designation. These were only made during 1942 in the serial range 3133445-3364954. These were manufactured just before the somewhat lesser quality 03-A3's began production. This rifle is in very good shape overall, one minor exception is the screw in the lug, which can easily be replaced. The excellent arsenal finish rates about 98% overall. The stock is in very nice shape with sharp cartouches. Stock has the SA over GAW inspector stamp and the crossed canons. The mechanics are in good working order, the bore rates excellent with strong rifling. No import markings. This is a nice looking example of an early rifle.
Rifle includes normal 3 day non-firing inspection. Shipping is $40 for lower 48, Alaska/Hawaii at cost. No international shipping on this rifle.
