Description:
I have three favorite vintage gun makers, Boss, Fauré Le Page, and James Woodward. Woodward built a little over 7000 guns before they were purchased by Purdey in 1949. What is interesting is that over 5000 of these were built before 1900. The James Woodward shotguns from this period are absolutely of the highest quality and exude what we have come to expect in a "BEST" London gun. ~ 1890 has excellent chopper lump Sir Joseph Whitworth barrels and super stock dimensions. The leather cheek pads appear original and are in very good condition. I like how they feel. I cant keep all the guns that come in the shop that I fall in love with but to let these go is painful.......
