Description:
SOLD.....Winchester Model 21, 12 gauge SxS shotgun. Made in 1937 this beautiful Model 21 is a “Custom Built” grade. The “Custom Built” guns were the forerunner of the Deluxe and Custom Deluxe grades. They represented the finest craftsmanship that Winchester had to offer with only the very best artisans allowed to work on them. Each “Custom Built” was just that, specifically built to an individual’s dimensions and preferences. This gun has 28” barrels with a solid matter rib. The choke markings are Mod and Full but at sometime the chokes were opened to .010 and .007. Absolutely beautiful, fancy American Walnut with “heavy” comb and English/straight grip stock. 14 1/4” over the solid red rubber Winchester pad, 1 5/16” DAC & 1 15/16” DAH with right hand cast. Sometime ago the gun’s metal was painstakingly refinished by hand, not polishing wheels! The stock and forearm finishes were also stripped,re-oiled and the checkering pointed up. Since the restoration the gun retains 99% finishes. A truly beautiful, interesting and unique Model 21. Weighs 7 lbs. 9 oz. With factory letter.
