Personal Check with hold Description: This is a rare model of the Smith & Wesson Model 3. Barrel address ends in: "REISSUE JULY 25, 1871". Has a 6.5" barrel with a Very Good bore. 60% of the frame and backstrap are fire blue with some freckling. Barrel and cylinder ar all grey patina with some freckling. Muzzle end of barrel shows some fine rust. Action is strong and does not have any loosness. I believe this to be .44 Rimfire Henry caliber due to it's serial number being #5431. The butt is marked #5431, along with the numbers, "29430" stamped in the wood , bottom left grip panel. The latch is also marked #5431. The back of the right grip panel ,also is marked, #5431. The back of the cylinder is marked #1113, it also has "P". Has lanyard ring. Wood grip panels are finely checkered and show light handling marks and some smoothness from use. Screw heads are nice.
