Description:
This is a very nice U.S. Marked "AINSWORTH" inspected Colt Cavalry Revolver. Has a 7.5" barrel with an excellent bore. .45 caliber. Serial number #13901 is found on the butt, frame, and trigger guard. The last 4 digits are found on the cylinder and under the ejector housing. The Ainsworth Inspector Mark, "A", is found behind the trigger on backstrap, on cylinder, barrel , frame, triggerguard, bottom of grip, right side. there is a "P" i found on barrel under ejector. Has the 2 line Colt address and the ".U.S." marked on left side of frame. Latch is numbered "324". Barrel adress reads,"+COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.+ THe walnut one piece grips are solid with a little shrinkage. Has faint outine of cartouche on left side. The metal is all a pleasing grey to brown patina. Screw heads are very nice!
