For sale is a beautiful Mauser C96 Broomhandle in excellent condition. This pistol is what collectors call a "Pre-war Commercial". It has a long extractor, 1000 meter sight, and the late style first-type safety. This pistol is a beautiful example of the pre-WW1 Broomhandle pistols sold on the commercial market. This particular pistol, serial number 262,225 was made circa 1914 based on serial number studies. It retains 90% + of the original Mauser factory blue finish on all the major parts and 90% + of the beautiful fire blue finish on the trigger, extractor, rear sight, bolt stop, and safety. The 7.63 caliber bore is great shape with strong rifling. The factory original wooden grips are nice and tight and in excellent shape with no cracks, repairs, or major damage. This C96 is all original with all numbered parts matching. It is 100% functional and although it is in great shape, it is not mint so you could shoot this Broomhandle and not feel too guilty about it. These Mauser C96 Broomhandles were functional works of art and exhibited a very high degree of craftsmanship and machine work that set them apart from their competition. If you have been looking to invest in a high condition, historically important handgun this is it!
