(William) Cashmore, Maker Birmingham: A very nice Bar Action Sidelock Ejector 12 Bore Game Gun Made about 1930 based on the proof marks but before WWII, 28" Ejector Dovetail Lump Barrels with a rib extension Cross Bolt Third Bite, Side clip action body, Birmingham Nitro Proved at 1 1/4 ounce with original 2 3/4" chambers, Original bore size at .729 .006 & .037" (Skt.I & Full), 2 3/4" chambers, Wall thickness on the right and left at .028", Greener style cross bolt action, Double triggers, Anson forend release, Splinter forend, Straight hand stock at 14 3/4 x 1 9/16 x 2 7/8" over a 1" Silvers pad, Cast-Off stock for the right hand, 6 lbs. 9 oz., 90% coverage of very nice scroll engraving, It retains 20% original case colors, The barrels have been reblacked and now remain at 98%, The wood has been oiled but I don't believe ever sanded and is at 88%, The checkering is at 90%, The bores are excellent, The barrels ring with a superb chime, It is tight on the face, Here is one very nice Pre-War British sidelock with original bore size and wall thickness. This is a lot of Sidelock gun for the money.
