The slide is serial numbered behind the firing pin retaining plate. The Colt's serial number is 823359. This pistol retains almost all of the original parkerizing finish. The finish would rate a 98% condition. The bore is bright with some light frosting between the lands. The barrel is a original Colt barrel with the proper "G" under the lug. The barrel reains most of the original bluing. The grips are original to this Colt. This pistol has a correct World War One period magazine. The World War Two magazines did not come into production until latter. This Colt has not seen much shooting or service use. Most of these early 1911's saw much service use and wear.
