This Colt was produced in 1943. The slide is not serial numbered as that practice was discontinued at that time. The serial number is 1161891. It has the G.H.D. inspection stamp. The barrel is the correct barrel for this pistol and is Colt marked. The barrel shows little wear or being shot. This pistol shows little sign of being cocked or the slide being operated. The pistol's parkerizing finish would rate a 99% condition. the magazine is a correct W.W.2 issued blued magazine. This is a extremely nice Colt 1911 A1 that has survived the war in almost as new condition. This is the kind of pistol that collectors dream of finding for their collection.
