Description:
Quality Consignments Wanted! The barrel date is 10-1944. The serial number is 6296872. This carbine has the late milled rear sight coded HI. It also has the late style type three barrel band for the bayonet coded AI. The parts are all correct for this late production M1 A1. The stock is a correct late production low wood paratrooper stock with the correct IO stamped in the operating well cutout. The pistol grip has the correct late crossed cannons stamp on the right grip side. The leather is original and not replaced. The handguard is the late four rivit style. The bore is bright and clean. The blued round bolt retains most of the blue finish. The folding stock locks up tight with very little play. This carbine shows very little service use. The original finish would rate a 97% condition. The stock would rate a 97% condition also. There is no rebuild or arsenal repair stamps on the stock. This is a very nice all original late production M1 A1 carbine that any military collector would be happy to own! Search for hlvfineguns on google.
