Matched Pair of Extra Finish James Purdey 12 bore shotguns. Serial numbers 28991/2 ( 1999 ) 28" bbls, 2 3/4 chambers, 3 1/4 ton 1 1/4 oz proof. Gun # 1 choked 1/2 and 3/4, Gun #2 choked 1/4 and 1/2. Deep Acanthus Scroll and Oak Leaves by A. Hunt, Third Bite, Side Clips, double triggers. Straight grip stocks made from single blank...perfectly matched grain and color including splinter forearms. Truly a magnificient set of firearms that will only increase in value over time.
Makers motor case.
6 lbs 12+3/4 oz each gun. 15 1/4" lop. 2'' drop at heel - 1 3/8" at nose of comb and 1 5/8" in middle. Slight right hand cast.
These guns remain in near new condition.
