MODEL 55 SOLID FRAME RIFLE IN SCARCE .32WS CALIBER , MADE 1930, only a little over 20,000 of this model were made between 1924-1936, the .32WS caliber wasn't even catalogued until 1927 (the .30WCF was considered the standard caliber for this model) and most of the production of this rifle was made before the stock market crash and subsequent Great Depression in 1929, this one retains fine aged and lightly thinning barrel blue with a perfect bright sharp bore, receiver mostly flaked to a gray/brown with some good blue on the loading gate, fine+ wood with tight wood to metal fit, exc. screws, period sling swivels, flat top buckhorn rear sight with Lyman blade/bead front sight, tight action, exc. markings.
