Description:
Moore's Patent Firearm Company No. 1 derringer, .41 rim fire short. Serial number 929, likely made during the civil war. Action works properly, barrel swivels to the left to open and load. Bore is dark and pitted. The release button may be a replacement. The engraving is very well done with decorative scrolls on the frame and barrel. The brass frame is uncleared and has silver in protected areas. Some blue and some pitting on the top of the barrel. Markings on the top of the barrel are partially obscured by the pitting, patent dates on the bottom of barrel are clear.
